Cat and Fiddle Tavern
The Cat and Fiddle Tavern is Scarborough's newest and only indoor tavern, as well as our only non-smoking tavern. Home to our twice-daily wine tasting events, Cat and Fiddle is a historic play on words of the name "Katherine la Fidéle" or "Katherine the Faithful." The name refers to King Henry VIII's first wife Katherine of Aragon, who remained faithful to the King even after he divorced her for Anne Boleyn. The Cat and Fiddle will serve craft beers as well as premium wines. Of course, all of your favorites will be served as well. Guests can order at the bar or at a window that faces the Jousting List. Comfortable tables are available around the outside of the tavern for guests who wish to smoke. Wine Tastings: Join sailor of the seven seas Flynn Markley and explore the world of wine! Hosted at the Cat and Fiddle Tavern at 1:00pm and 3:00pm every day, you'll sample wines from around the globe and featuring a new wine region every weekend of the festival. Each tasting features six wines, food pairings, and includes your own commemorative crystal goblet, emblazoned with the Cat and Fiddle logo. The Wine Tasting is for adults only and costs $30 per person. Reservations can be made at the Cat and Fiddle Tavern or by calling our office at 972-938-3247, ext. 30. Payment is required with your reservation. Rose and Crown Inn The Rose and Crown Inn is Scarborough's only covered inn with seated dining. From the moment that you are greeted at the doorway and taken to your table by the colorful wait staff, you'll know that you are in for a treat. Rose and Crown - Menu
